lm_sensors提供了一套方案，可以自動偵測主板傳感器的型號和讀取方式，可以在命令行模式下快速安裝運行。
在CentOS系統中安裝使用實例如下：
#yum install -y lm_sensors
然后運行sensors-detect來探測傳感器類型，此命令會給出一些問題，一律回答Yes即可：

Some systems (mainly servers) implement IPMI, a set of common interfaces
through which system health data may be retrieved, amongst other things.
