美國留學推薦信誤區
1..無數的推薦信都寫被推薦人上課時積極表達自己的觀點，下課后還繼續與教師討論學術問題，但是談論什么問題，卻總是沒有具體的例子。如：
In class, she was an active participant, often raising incisive questions and providing solutions to problems. We often discussed new and more efficient solutions to a problem. Always actively participating in class, asking perceptive and challenging questions.
2.很多同學找到自認為很有價值的推薦人寫推薦信，但是他們以前并不相識或者熟悉，為了在信中制造一個他們相識的合理情況，他們都用同樣的事例：被推薦人參加了推薦人的一次講座，講座結束或中間休息或上課時，被推薦人向推薦人提出了一些很有挑戰性的問題，于是推薦人就對被推薦人留下了深刻的印象。同上面的例子一樣，這樣的事例缺乏真實性。教授們在講座結束后往往只有幾分鐘的時間回答很多同學的提問，他不可能對某位同學留下特別的印象。即使是真實的，也因為太多的人這么寫，失去了可信度。
