　　C: Hi, Gerry, I am here.

　　C:喂，杰里，我在這里。

　　G: Oh, Carla! I was looking around for you.

　　C： Have you bought the tickets?

　　C.你買到票了嗎?

　　G： Yes, I got them. The price of the Christ Church College seems a little high.

　　G:嗯，買到了。這個____堂學院的門票有點貴啊!

　　C: Really? How much is it?

　　C:是嗎?多少錢呢?

　　G： It costs four pounds, not including the ticket of the College Gallery.

　　G:要4英鎊呢，還不包括學院畫廊的門票。

　　C: Four pounds? It really costs a lot! How much is the ticket of the gallery?

　　C: 4英鎊?確實不便宜呢!那畫廊的門票是多少?

　　G: Two pounds. However, it is said that the College Gallery owns the largest number of collections in the University of Oxford. It holds an important collection of about 300 Old Master paintings and nearly 2,000 drawings. Moreover, 15?17 century paintings which belong to Italy, Flanders and France can be found in this gallery.

　　G: 2英鎊。不過，聽說基督敎堂學院的藝術(shù)品收藏居整個牛津大學之首啊!它收藏了大約300張早期繪畫大師的作品和將近2000張草圖。此外，畫廊中還收藏有15?17世紀意大利、佛蘭德斯和法國的繪畫作品。

　　C: Though the ticket is expensive, it is worthy to pay. It is considered as one of the most important private collections in the United Kingdom,

　　C:門票雖然貴了點兒，不過那是值得的。據(jù)說，這個畫廊還是英國最重要的私人珍藏館。

　　G: Yeah! Although the college charges the highest fees, it is definitely worth it. Do you know that there were thirteen British prime ministers studying in this college?

　　G:是的!雖然這個學院的門票是最貴的，但絕對物有所值。你知道該學院曾經(jīng) 出過13位英國首相嗎?

　　C: Of course, I know! The number of British prime ministers, produced in this college, is more than all other Oxford colleges put together. I also know that the Christ Church Hall is the place of Hogwarts，which is the large cafeteria in the series Harry Potter and the Philosopher s Stone, the film adapted from the first novel in the Harry Potter series written by JX.Rowling. Tens of thousands of travelers who watch the series come here to see its nature.

　　C:當然知道啦!這個學院培養(yǎng)的英國首相的數(shù)量比牛津大學其他所有學院的總和還要多。我還知道學院的食堂就是《哈利?波特與魔法石》里霍格沃茲大食堂的拍攝地，《哈利?波特與魔法石》改編自JX羅琳的小說《哈利?波特》系列中的第一部。好多游客慕名而來，想掲開它神秘的面紗，一睹風采。

　　G: You are right! The fairy tale Alice's Adventures in Wonderland^ was also created here. Most of the book’s adventures were based on and influenced by people, situations and buildings at Christ Church. For example, the “Rabbit Hole” in the fairy tale, which symbolized the actual stairs, is in the back of the main hall in Christ Church.

　　G:對!那里也是童話《愛麗絲漫游記》的創(chuàng)作基地。書里面很多場景都是基于 ____堂里的人物、情境和建筑而設(shè)定的。例如，童話里象征著等級的"兔子洞” 就在基督____廳的背后。

　　C: That’s amazing! I can’t wait to visit it.

　　G: No hurry! There are still lots of places that are worthy to visit, such as the Old Library, Tom Quad including Tom Tower, Canterbury Quadgrangle, as well as the Cathedral.

　　C: Right. After visiting these places, we must go to the college meadow to have a walk on it.

　　G: Do you mean the triangular meadow that is bounded by the River Thames, the River Cherwell, and Christ Church?

　　C: Bingo! It is the place that quite a lot of well-known people were thinking and resting.
