Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls. Before the term ends in some schools, the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace, so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, father or mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two o'clock, and most of them are awake by six o'clock, and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one o'clock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is brought in. The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten. Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it. The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas holidays comes to an end.

圣誕節的早上，小孩們很早就醒來了。一些人甚至在凌晨兩點開燈，但大多數小孩會在六點醒來，孩子們在(大人們)準備晚餐的時候玩耍。下午一點，圣誕大餐出爐了。火雞或雞腿總是很快被搶光。孩子們尋找著屬于他們的圣誕布丁是為了確認金幣是否有藏在里面。在剩余的時間里，(人們)便是玩游戲和吃食物直到最開心幸福的圣誕節結束。

Christmas Day is very popular around the world, when that day comes, we can see the Christmas products sell everywhere, though Christmas Day is not originating from China, in our country, more and more people spend that day. A foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for Chinese people, it was just a day for cele/pating. To me, Christmas indeed means a day to have fun. When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my mind, I only knew Chinese traditional festivals, I liked Spring Festival best, I could get a lot of money from parents. When I went to high school, all of my friends would talk about Christmas Day when the day was near, so I started to know it. Almost every young people like Christmas, but if you ask them what the meaning of the day, less of them can answer.
The meaning of Christmas Day is to remind people of Jesus’s birth, it is so important for the western people, but for me, I only want to have fun, everyone is cele/pating it, so I join them, being happy, that’s enough for me.
