英語面試回答：你愿意為了工作搬家嗎

　　導語：如果面試官問你愿不愿意為了工作搬家，你會想到以下情形之一：(1)對面試官來說，假使愿意搬家不是一個必須條件，這也是你的一大優勢，因此如果你的回答是“不愿意”，你很可能得不到這個工作;或者(2)他們真的對你很滿意，而且他們早已經考慮到你之后升職的潛力……這只有在你愿意搬家時，對你來說才是個好消息。

　　In both cases, the answer they want to hear is “Yes.” If you can say “yes” withenthusiasm, then more power to you.

　　在這兩種情況里，面試官想聽到的回答是“我愿意”。如果你帶著積極主動的態度說“我愿意”的話，那這對你就更有利了。

　　However, it’s entirely possible that you’re not willing to commit yourself to such a major life change yet…I mean, you don’t even have the offer!

　　然而，你目前完全有可能不愿意做出生活中這么重大的改變……我的意思是，你甚至無法拿到這個職位!

　　So if you’d rather avoid that question for now, what can you do?

　　The standard answer most people think of is, “I would consider relocating for the right opportunity.” But that’s kind of a weenie answer that’s not going to earn you many points because that translates to: “If you throw enough money at me, I’ll think about it.” It doesn’t make the interviewer believe that you’re enthusiastic about this job or about his company.

　　大多數人想到的普通答案是，“我會在合適的時機下考慮搬家。” 但是這是個挺窩囊的回答，而且也不會給你加分多少，因為這個回答的言外之意是：“如果你能給我足夠多的錢，我會考慮看看。” 這樣一來，面試官可不會認為你對這份工作或者他的公司有著極大的熱情。

　　A more sincere sounding answer that still doesn’t commit you might sound more like, “I am very interested in advancing my career, and if relocating is a part of that, I would certainly consider it.”

　　一個更加真誠而又不會直接做出承諾的回答會更像是，“我非常想在我的職業生涯中有所突破，如果搬家是其中一部分的話，我肯定會考慮的。”

　　You’ve basically said the same thing, but nicer.

　　你基本上說的和之前的回答是同一個意思，但是聽起來感覺更好。

　　Or maybe you want to avoid it even more: “To me, where I live is really a secondaryconcern. My career path is important to me, and I’ve been very impressed with what I’ve learned about this company and believe that this position in particular is a great fit for my skills in X, Y, and Z. Do you agree?”

　　或者你甚至想回避掉這個問題：“對我來說，住處其實是放在第二位的。我的職業生涯路線是非常重要的，而且對貴公司的了解給我留下了深刻的印象，我相信這個職位非常適合我，因為它所要求的X，Y，Z技能我都具備。您同意嗎?”

　　Now see what you did: You avoided the question, brought the conversation back around to your skills and selling yourself, and asked him a question that hopefully sets him on a new train of thought.

　　現在我們來看看你能做的：你先回避問題，將對話內容轉回你的技能方面，并推銷你自己，然后向面試官拋出問題，這樣一來就很有可能轉換他的思路。

　　If you absolutely can’t relocate, you have to be honest about that, but try not to just say “No.” You don’t know what the future holds, and your life might look very different in a year for a thousand reasons. So say, “I’d rather not relocate right now, but that could easily change in the future. Who knows what circumstances may bring tomorrow or a year from now?”

　　如果你真的不能搬家，你必須要誠實，但是盡量不要只說“不”。你無法預知未來，一年以后，也許你的生活由于各種各樣的原因看起來會變得面目全非。所以你要這樣說，“我現在不想搬家，不過在未來這個想法可能會改變。誰都不能預測明天或者一年以后會發生什么。”

　　In all of these cases, these answers make you look more sincere than if you had given the standard answer about the “right opportunity.” They keep you from making a strongcommitment while still making you appear flexible—which is always going to be a plus with your future employer.

　　在上述的例子中，這些回答相比你可能給出的與“合適的時機”有關的普通回答，都會使你看起來更加的真誠。他們會避免你做出鄭重其事的承諾，同時又會令你表現得更加靈活——這將在你未來的雇主心中給你加上一分。
