1.樹立學習英語的信心
自信是成功的第一步。自信心對于英語學習尤為重要，因為小學的英語側重于聽說，說占有很大的比例。平時的跟讀、回答問題、唱歌、游戲、對話、表演都要用到“說”。假如怕出錯誤，不敢開口說，那么他的英語就無從得到練習，也便不會有進步，而且會越學越?jīng)]勁。所以樹立良好的自信，說英語，用英語，不怕犯錯誤，是學好英語的第一步。
2.養(yǎng)成良好的英語課堂習慣
英語課堂是學生學習英語的主要陣地。在課堂上參與得越多，那么便學得越多。良好的課堂習慣是保持較高參與度的前提。良好的課堂習慣包括：集中注意力聽講，積極參與各種課堂活動(游戲、對話、唱歌、調(diào)查、表演、跳舞等)，大膽開口說英語，不取笑其他同學的錯誤，服從老師的指揮，書寫工整，善于作筆記(這一條適合于高年級學生)。
